5BY2 Completes Latest Residential Project in Amsterdam

5BY2, one of Europes leading suppliers of fully automated parking systems, has completed its latest project. The project was for the design, manufacture, installation and commissioning of a 5BY2 parking system for a residential development in central Amsterdam.  The 5BY2 System has a capacity of 15 spaces in Kerkstraat, Amsterdam for a luxury apartment building.

This residential project in central Amsterdam has a single entry/exit module serving one basement level of parking.

The users park directly on to the scissor lift in the entry/exit module and as soon as the user has left the entry/exit module and confirmed everything is in order the lift is lowered to the parking level in the basement.  The loaded pallet is then parked in the system and an empty pallet is placed on the lift platform before the lift is raised to the ground floor ready to accept another vehicle.

Structural integrity is maintained in the basement with long blade walls which the 5BY2 system is able to puzzle around.

Entry and exit to the 5BY2 system is granted via pass cards provided to each of the users.  As with all 5BY2 systems there is no individual space reserved for any particular vehicle. The vehicle is simply parked in the nearest possible space to the entry/exit module.

As there are no vehicles running in the 5BY2 system no ventilation is required and the lights are only switch on during routine bi-annual maintenance periods.
