Chauntry achieves PCI DSS Level 1 Service Provider compliance

Chauntry Corporation Ltd, the Software as a Service provider based in Maidenhead UK, has achieved the highest level of PCI DSS accreditation for its hosted software solution, Parkspace. The software is the leading solution for car park pre-booking globally, and is delivered as a fully hosted service to car park operators and airports.
The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) is a set of requirements designed to ensure that all companies that process, store or transmit credit card information maintain a secure environment.  These standards are enforced by the payment brands and acquirers, and apply to all organisations or merchants, regardless of size or number of transactions.

The PCI DSS covers 6 major security objectives which are tied to 12 specific PCI DSS requirements and these in turn relate to over 200 separate compliance checks; all of which must be approved before attestation of compliance can be achieved.

The Chauntry Parkspace solution, which enables car park and airport operators to pre-book parking spaces and other types of travel related services online, is a completely integrated element of the car park operators web sites. This means that PCI compliance is absolutely critical to the operators and without it they would be unable to accept credit card payments.

In addition to this, brand reputation and customer loyalty is extremely important for businesses providing a pre-booking service, especially when it comes to protecting customer data. More than €320 million of pre-bookings were processed on Chauntry systems last year and clients include most of the airports in the UK, as well as leading consolidators and car park operators including Holiday Extras, NCP, and Purple Parking.

Chauntry Parkspace is also the solution of choice for many leading airports outside of the UK and is implemented at many major international airports including Amsterdam Schiphol Airport, O R Tambo Airport (Johannesburg), and as far afield as Auckland International Airport in New Zealand.

Delivering their solution as Software as a Service allows Chauntry to provide a completely PCI compliant end to end service, no matter where the client is located, removing this responsibility and cost from the merchant.

Ray Vaughan, Technical Director, says, We are delighted to be one of the few companies in Europe to have achieved the standard of Level 1 compliance as a service provider. Having been independently assessed by a Qualified Security Assessor (QSA), means that our hosted clients around the world have the complete assurance that their service is fully PCI compliant.

Chauntry is the worlds leading specialist in airport pre-booking systems and was founded in 1991. Chauntrys Software as a Service (SaaS) solution, Parkspace, is PCI accredited and hosted and delivered from secure data centres in the UK. This solution is used by airports across 4 continents.
