NSL gets top recognition in Investors in People assessment

NSL has achieved Gold status in its latest Investor in People assessment - the first time it has been rated under the new criteria. Since we were last assessed in 2008 the IiP organisation has changed rating criteria, so that companies can now be rated at four levels basic, Bronze, Silver and Gold. To achieve the top Gold rating, NSL was checked against 196 different criteria.
Chief Executive Mark Underwood said that the Gold rating is a landmark result. To be able to achieve Gold status - at the first time of asking under the new, more-rigorous scoring mechanism - is a massive achievement. Mark said that the Investors in People recognition is extremely important for a people business like NSL. We supply well-trained, highly motivated people to deliver complex services so IiP Gold status is recognition of the high quality you can expect from NSL people.

It puts us in the Premier League of companies in the way we attract, lead, develop, manage and retain highly motivated, high performing people who work proactively towards and delivery of the NSL Vision and Goals. I was always confident that we are performing well in these areas but this underlines that we are among the very best.

HR Director Chris Gillespie commented: I am very proud to achieve this recognition. The result means we are ranked within the top 2% of the 22,500 or so organisations in England which have Investors in People Accreditation, and also makes us rated more highly than any other competitor in our market.

He added: As a result of our high ranking, we also retain our IiP Champion status, one of only a handful of organisations to be recognised as such.

As part of the process, the IIP assessor visited a number of different locations and business units across the country and Northern Ireland. He interviewed a large cross section of colleagues and gave us a pass in 192 of the 196 criteria on which we were assessed. By anyones perspective this is an absolutely superb result and one which everyone in the Company should be proud of, commented Chris.
