NSL wins parking contract in Solihull

NSL, the UK market leader in on street parking management, has won a contract with Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council.
The contract, which is for five years, with a possible four year extension, will start from 1 October. NSL expects to TUPE 20 staff from the current suppliers, Apcoa. In addition to on street parking enforcement, NSL will take over the management of 28 local authority car parks, including three multi-story car parks.

Commercial Director Graham Williams commented: Solihull has a high-profile parking operation, including a number of off street car parks, so parking makes a significant contribution to the broader transport strategy within the borough. Were looking forward to the challenge of helping Solihull - and helping the boroughs drivers get where they are going quickly, efficiently and safely.

The Solihull contract is a framework agreement which means that any member Authorities of the West Midlands Centre of Excellence Regional Procurement Hub can use the contract to procure on and off-street parking management services through NSLs contract with Solihull, without the need to carry out their own tender exercise.

NSL has recently announced contract wins in East Sussex and Buckinghamshire. The company already delivers parking enforcement for nearby Birmingham City Council, among 47 UK local authority parking clients.
