Renault agrees to provide vehicle-charging infrastructure

French automaker Renault has signed an agreement with VINCI Park, a European parking-management firm, to provide charging infrastructure and associated services for electric vehicles in car parks.
Following plans announced by the French government on 1 October 2009 and 13 April 2010 to develop electric vehicles, VINCI Park and Renault teamed up to develop the best way to deploy charging infrastructure in the car parks of the VINCI Park network.

The two companies will also develop services linked to the charging and parking of electric vehicles in line with customer requirements, identified through working groups they will set up to study the sizing of the charging infrastructure; technical solutions; charging-related services and packages; and parking solutions tailored to electric vehicles.
