SP Plus(R) Gameday to Provide Travel Demand Management Services for London Olympics, Republican National Convention and the 2012

SP Plus Gameday, an operating division of Standard Parking Corporation (Nasdaq:STAN), one of the nation's leading providers of parking management, ground transportation, maintenance and other ancillary services, today announced that it has been selected to provide its travel demand management services for the 2012 Summer Olympic Games, 2012 Republican National Convention and upcoming 2012 Tim Hortons NHL All Star Game.
The London Organizing Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games (LOCOG) have contracted six SP Plus Gameday project managers to oversee transportation planning and operations for the Summer Olympic Games of 2012. SP Plus Gameday is responsible for oversight of the Games' fleet and bus systems, which will transport over 17,000 athletes and 20,000 working media on a daily basis - as well as technical officials, marketing partners and Olympic family members - attending 26 Olympic sports across 35 competition venues. SP Plus Gameday also is responsible for the integration of the venue transport, traffic and parking plans for all competition, training and non-competition venues. This will be the fifth Olympic and Paralympic Games - following Atlanta, Salt Lake City, Athens and Vancouver - at which the SP Plus Gameday team has had a role in transport planning and operations.

The 2012 Republican National Convention selected SP Plus Gameday to manage transportation services for the Republican Party's 40th presidential nominating convention to be held in the Tampa Bay area August 27-30, 2012. SP Plus Gameday will manage a fleet of 300 buses that will carry 5,000 delegates, alternate delegates and guests between an estimated 95 official convention hotels in the Tampa Bay area and the convention site. The bus fleet, equipped with advanced navigation and communications technology, will be both efficient and convenient for convention-goers.

SP Plus Gameday also will provide its master transportation services for the National Hockey League's 2012 Tim Hortons NHL All Star Game to be held at Scotiabank Place in Ottawa, Canada on January 29th. SP Plus Gameday has designed the master transportation plan and group overlays necessary to coordinate the transportation needs for all groups involved, including the athletes, team and league representatives, media and assorted VIPs. SP Plus Gameday will manage the actual transportation operations for all of the weekend's event activities, including the media and 2012 Molson Canadian NHL All-Star Skills Competition event in addition to the NHL All Star Game itself.

Tony Vitrano, SP Plus Gameday's Senior Vice President, stated, "Taking on the transportation logistics and associated responsibility for these high-profile, large scale events is no small task, and our staff works very hard to ensure that the various groups involved, whether event participants, media, managers or guests, arrive at their destinations on time and hassle free. We're proud that our SP Plus Gameday team's performance continues to shine, and are extremely excited and honored to have been asked to provide our services for all of these upcoming major events."
