AAA Parking awarded new contract

AAA Parking will continue to operate parking services for the Georgia World Congress Center Authority for the foreseeable future as part of a newly awarded five-year deal with the State of Georgia.
aaaparking.gifThe Authority is responsible for operating the Georgia World Congress Center, Georgia Dome and Centennial Olympic Park. Nearly 5,000 parking spaces at eight locations in downtown Atlanta are part of the campus. Parking services have been operated by AAA Parking since the Authority awarded the operations to a private vendor in 1998.

As part of the agreement, a number of parking upgrades are planned for the facilities aimed at improving the customer experience while increasing efficiency. The highlight of the upgrades include hand-held devices that will allow parking customers to pay parking charges in the entry lanes, thus speeding ingress to the facilities during major events such as Atlanta Falcons games and large conventions. Parking patrons will also have the ability to prepurchase and print parking online, and use credit cards to pay for parking upon entry.
