ACS Awarded Contract With Traffic And Parking Violation Bureau

Affiliated Computer Services, Inc., a premier provider of business process and information technology outsourcing solutions, has signed a contract with the City of Nashville/Davidson County, Tennessee's Traffic Violation Bureau to provide an integrated traffic and parking violation management system.
As a large metropolitan traffic court, the City of Nashville/Davidson County's Traffic Violation Bureau processes more than 300,000 traffic and parking cases each year. The ACS solution will be used to assist the Bureau in meeting the challenges of an urban court, including improving customer service, reducing costs, and enforcing compliance with citations.

Replacing the Bureau's disparate systems and outdated technology, the ACS system will automate manual operations, improve information sharing, reduce redundant data entry, and provide the public with the convenience of Web payment of citations. The ACS system will enable the Bureau to better provide its accounting department with the information necessary to more efficiently track finances through the court system. Additionally, the ACS system will integrate and share information with the Police Department, increasing efficiency for both departments and enhancing Nashville's ability to improve public safety.

"We are pleased to begin this project with ACS," said Richard R. Rooker, Circuit Court Clerk. "The system will help us improve operations and customer services, ultimately increasing revenues and efficiencies."

"The City of Nashville/Davidson County Traffic Violations Bureau is one of the most progressive traffic courts in the nation, and we are pleased to partner with them on this endeavor," said John Brophy, Group President of ACS State and Local Solutions.

Immersed in government, ACS' justice practice offers a broad range of integrated technology solutions and services that help clients manage and share data, streamline operations, and increase revenue. More than 800 courts around the world have selected ACS justice solutions, including the U.S. Federal Courts, eight statewide judicial systems, three U.S. territories, and six nations.
