Adaptive Recognition Announces Upgrade for Carmen

Carmen®, Adaptive Recognition's flagship ANPR software product, is the powerhouse behind the company's traffic monitoring cameras. It recognizes more than 30 000 types of plate types from various image sources and at any traffic rate.

The highly adaptable software family is sold as an SDK or Plug'n'Play application to fit any traffic monitoring project, including smart/ticketless parking and various types of access control.

The latest software upgrade involves the addition of new sample codes, expanding the range of supported languages even further on Windows and Linux.

Furthermore, new engine-related features were added, such as returning vehicle category (army, police, taxi, public transport, etc.) based on the license plate.

Last, Make and Model Recognition (MMR) has been fully integrated into the ANPR Demo for Images and the Utility Tools.

Carmen® can be utilized in parking projects to automatically and accurately read plate numbers of entering vehicles, cross-checking them with various databases for automatic payment, security/access control, and more.
