Adding Value to Park and Ride in Salisbury

We have now installed pay on foot equipment for four Park and Ride sites serving the historic city of Salisbury.
The city's fist Park and Ride opened a few years ago and when work began on a further two sites, we were contracted to instal our BC200 system, which includes all entry, exit and barrier equipment. Once installed, Salisbury District Council also asked us to replace the equipment at the original site to provide users with a uniform system, and to make things simpler for their parking team. So when the fourth site was completed, our contract was extended to include it as well.

During installation, our project managers ans civil and cabling engineers worked closely with the principal site contractors and provided technical back-up and guidance. Once the system was installed and the work completed, we provided Park and Ride staff with full training.

The many features and functions within the BC200 software allows parking tickets to be customised for the different sites, and enables businesses and individuals to buy a session card, which can be configured by date and time. The software also monitors Park and Ride use, and outputs city-wide Variatie Message Signs to guide customers to the nearest available space.

During site opening hours Council parking officers maintain a physical presence, and after hours, the sites are monitored remotely via CCTV. The four sites are backed by our comprehensive maintenance package, and our dedicated technical support team can access the system and run diagnostics remotely, helping to resolve any issues quickly and keep the system running at maximum effectiveness.
