Munich Airport launch AltitudeReservation from ADVAM

Munich Airport Center

Munich Airport Limited, the second busiest airport in Germany, has chosen AltitudeReservation from ADVAM as their online pre-book parking solution.

Munich, one of the busiest airports in Europe, handled nearly 41 million passengers in 2015. The airport features flights to over 250 destinations and more than 65 different countries, and has developed into one of Europe’s foremost aviation hubs. Munich is not only an originating and termination airport, but also a transit airport for international air traffic.

Understanding the need for a new reservation platform.

AltitudeReservation from ADVAM has a proven pedigree of success and will enable Munich Airport to sell a more enhanced range of parking products online; providing customers with a guaranteed parking space at very favourable rates, as well as offering additional services, such as lounge access, fast track, valet parking and car wash etc.

Munich Airport has plans to increase their range of specialist products to significantly improve their customer’s experience. Now using the more advanced AltitudeReservation booking engine, it will enable the simple launch of those new parking products, and the trial of ancillary services without needing to involve a third party. The Altitude system will allow Munich improved flexibility, as well as both manual and automated price changing. Ludwig Ascher, Munich’s Commercial Manager for Car parks, has been quick to exploit the potential of the Altitude system within the business.

Selecting a reservation solution to support future growth

The forecast for Munich for 2025 is a further increase to 58 million passengers, as well as a rise in airfreight volumes. The goal for Munich Airport is to maintain their position in Europe, and to continue to meet the growing demand for air travel within their catchment area of southern Germany and its neighbouring countries.

It was only after conducting a thorough evaluation of what was needed now, and in the future, that Munich Airport selected the AltitudeReservation system.

Munich Airport commented that ADVAM’s approach was professional, innovative and creative, and because AltitudeReservation was proven, robust and very flexible, Munich Airport knew it would allow them to provide several new services for their valued passengers. The fact that the AltitudeReservation system was already used in London Gatwick, Copenhagen, and Zurich Airports, was also of significant importance. Munich needed a system proven at the highest level, and used by some of the most demanding airports in Europe. Only ADVAM could deliver this.
