Evens Time and Amano McGann to upgrade Indianapolis International Airport to OPUSeries®

Evens Time, Inc. has collaborated with North American Parking Access and Revenue Control Systems (PARCS) leader Amano McGann, Inc. to upgrade parking operations at the Indianapolis International Airport (IND). As a premier provider of time and attendance, parking, access control and video surveillance systems, Evens Time will be installing new Amano McGann OPUSeries entry terminals, central pay-on-foot stations and exit terminals throughout the airport’s parking facilities.

Indianapolis International Airport has been recognized as the Best Airport in North America for five consecutive years by Airports Council International and the Best Airport in America by Condé Nast Traveler readers for three years in a row. These awards come from their mission to provide exceptional service and customer convenience across the airport campus. To continually better serve their customers, the airport has decided to progress their parking experience by upgrading the existing PARCS equipment. “Indianapolis International Airport is known for being a customer service-oriented facility,” said Mike Hanney, Amano McGann’s vice president of dealer sales for the Eastern Region, “Evens Time and Amano McGann share this vision and will be adding new features to enhance the parking patron experience and improve transaction security.”

Evens Time and Amano McGann have been providing parking solutions to this large, 78 lane facility since 2008. Ken Evens, vice president of Evens Time, said, “We are thrilled to continue our long-standing relationship and be a part of Indianapolis International Airport’s commitment to excellence by upgrading them to the comprehensive OPUSeries line.” The upgrade includes EMV credit card technology to maintain secure credit card data handling and keep the facility running with the latest compliance regulations. EMV-compatible terminals will be deployed in all express exit lanes in addition to 18 central pay-on-foot locations. To further enhance customer convenience and increase throughput, the airport will also add license plate recognition credentials next year.

The Amano McGann OPUSeries will provide airport passengers the ease of use and functionality they deserve,” said Steve Wilson, Indianapolis Airport Authority director of parking operations. “We strive to provide world-class customer service to every visitor of IND and, by implementing this durable hardware and feature-rich software, we will continue that high level of service.” The upgrade to the latest version of iParcProfessional Software will take place May 2017 and the OPUS hardware installation will begin June 2017. The installation is scheduled to be completed by November 2017.
