Ampco Lands Parking Contract for Raleigh Durham International Airport
Ampco System Parking has been awarded a multi-year contract to manage parking operations at North Carolinas Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU). Ampco System Parking is a subsidiary of ABM Industries Incorporated, the leading provider of facility services in the United States.
Raleigh-Durham International Airport serves North Carolinas Research Triangle Region as well as many communities in central and eastern North Carolina and southern Virginia. In 2009 RDU handled about 9 million passengers.
Under the terms of the three-year staffing agreement, Ampco will operate and oversee RDUs approximately 18,000 parking spaces, as well as nine shuttle busses used to transport airport customers to and from remote parking facilities. About 50 Ampco employees will be engaged in providing parking services at RDU. Ampco began providing service to RDUs staff and customers on April 1.
In addition to serving a number of the nations largest airports, Ampco also provides parking services at many other key airports around the country, including: Tampa, Orlando, Austin, Colorado Springs, Omaha, Oklahoma City, Wichita and Long Beach.

Ampco System Parking manages more than 1,600 office, airport, hotel, hospital, retail and entertainment, and other multi-use parking operations across the U.S. Among other services, Ampco provides: parking management and shuttle transportation services; valet parking; on- and off-street meter collections; rate analysis and recommendations; parking utilization analysis; and consulting on pre-construction design and layout of parking facilities.
