Ampco System Parking Awarded Contract with The Port of Galveston, Texas

Ampco System Parking, a wholly owned subsidiary of ABM Industries Incorporated (NYSE:ABM), has been awarded a multiyear contract with The Port of Galveston, Texas. The contract covers parking operations and shuttle service management as well as security services for the Ports parking facilities.
As the Port of Galveston continues to serve as an economic catalyst to the City of Galveston and the region, Ampco is pleased to provide parking management and shuttle operations for the passengers that cruise from the Port each year, said Rich Kindorf, president of Ampco System Parking. The Port of Galveston is pleased to team with Ampco System Parking to provide important transportation and security services for our cruise passengers, stated Galveston Port Director, Steven M. Cernak. Cruise passengers accounted for over 600,000 Galveston visitors last year and are a very important part of the tourist industry in Galveston.

The Port of Galveston is the Western Gulf of Mexicos gateway for international cruise vacations. In 2006, the Port of Galveston ranked as the #1 cruise ship port in Texas and in the Gulf of Mexico, the 4th busiest U.S. cruise port in world rankings and the 11th overall in the top-twenty cruise ports in the world. The Port is the year-round home port to two Carnival Cruise Lines ships, and one Royal Caribbean International ship, and seasonal cruise operations by Royal Caribbean International and Princess Cruises, offering approximately 255 cruises annually.
