Announcing the Model 222S Detector

Reno A & E’s Model 222S detector is a two channel, card rack type detector designed for use with 332 / 170 controllers. Like all of our multiple channel detectors, the 222S utilizes scanning technology to virtually eliminate crosstalk between loops connected to the same detector.
The detector also has a Loop Fail event monitor that remembers intermittent and current loop fail conditions and provides an indication of each type of failure condition. Each channel has an eight position DIP switch module that can be used to select one of eight sensitivity levels, Presence or Pulse mode of operation, one of four loop frequency settings, Fail-Safe or Fail-Secure operation, and channel disable. The 222S is self-tuning, provides complete environmental tracking, and is designed with built-in detector integrity test circuitry.
Similar in construction and operation to our Model G / 222 series, the Model 222S adds a pair of three position Call / Test toggle switches that can be used to simulate a continuous or momentary CALL output. This feature is useful when troubleshooting problems related to detector outputs and / or controller inputs.
