The University of Hartford Implements BOSSCARS

The University of Hartford finalizes implementation of BOSSCARS in the summer of 2009
The University of Hartford completed a smooth transition from their previous system to BOSSCARS at the beginning of summer this year. The University of Hartford, located in residential West Hartford, Connecticut, uses BOSSCARS to provide parking permit and citation management, and BOSSCOPS for incident management.

'I can't smile more over the fact that we are ahead in permit sales; revenue from sales is already flowing into accounts months ahead of previous years due to the direct real-time Banner interface,' Brian Lehan, Quartermaster, Department of Public Safety, University of Hartford said. 'BOSS has brought our parking office operations into the 21st century from the 18th. Staff and students alike keep commenting on how simple it is to get a permit now.'

The BOSS SOFTWARE suite of campus public safety and parking management software provides direct, real-time integration with the University of Hartfords Banner database. This integration allows for the immediate transfer of information across various campus systems, and streamlines efficiency in the Parking and Public Safety Offices.

'We are very excited about the success story at University of Hartford,' Andy Levy, Business Development Manager, BOSS SOFTWARE said, 'BOSSCARS helped to streamline many of their business practices. BOSSCOPS offered the capacity to integrate the Police departments dispatching and incident management with BOSSCARS and the Banner information system. I think the University of Hartford is a very happy partner of BOSS Software.'

BOSSCARS is a modular parking management system that directly integrates with Oracle®-based systems such as SunGard Banner® or PeopleSoft®. Designed specifically for colleges and universities, it is the only system boasting direct, real-time integration with Campus/Student Information Systems. Officers have easy access to accurate information on permits, citations, scofflaws, units on duty, appeals, and customers. BOSSCARS is highly customizable, and is available with handheld ticket writers, a web interface, payroll deduction, and much more.

BOSSCOPS is a Clery-compliant incident management and dispatching system. Tickets are issued and reported using an easy-to-use, intuitive interface designed to expedite and automate filing police reports on campuses. Dispatching Wizards allow for simple officer dispatching, and automatic reminders alert dispatchers of active calls. Reporting is compliant with Clery, NIBRS, and UCR standards. BOSSCOPS revolutionizes the reporting process and allows for accessible, extensive reporting.
