Atos Origin Earns ISO 9001:2000 Certification

Paris - February 3, 2004 - Atos Origin has reached a new milestone in its commitment to continually improving service quality, with the certification of its distributed infrastructure management business to ISO 9001:2000 standards.
atos_origin.gifAtos Origin is the leader in the French distributed infrastructure management market, according to a study published in March 2003 by Pierre Audouin Consultants. Through its dedicated Desktop Services Division, Atos Origin provides total or partial outsourced management of more than 130,000 PCs and 1,500 servers and support for more than 200,000 users.

The distributed infrastructure management business has had a quality management system in place since 1999. The latest ISO certification covers all of its operations:
- Support: the help desk, which received ISO certification in 2000, as well as local support services.

Infrastructure management: workstations and servers.
Transformation projects: infrastructure upgrades.
This process enables Atos Origin to more effectively meet the needs of its customers, providing:

Enhanced visibility of their operations, through such indicators as process efficiency.
Improved performance by increasing action traceability and formalizing practices.
For example, quality management has enabled the help desk to halve the hang-up rate for callers on hold and improved the average number of problems solved on the first call by 34%.

ISO standards are the global benchmark in quality management system certification. The ISO 9001 audit was conducted by AFAQ (Association Française pour l'Assurance Qualité), France's No. 1 certification organization and a global leader in quality accreditation.
