AURA CHOICE FOR ORMSKIRK
West Lancashire County Council has explained why it chose the new Metric Aura for town centre car parks in Ormskirk.
Market and parking officer Ken Knowles said the council had looked at a number of pay and display parking machine suppliers before making its decision.
We assessed reliability, facilities and cost and as a result selected the Aura, he said.
He added that the council had also purchased the Metric ASLAN Back Office system which would enable them to look at the 17 Auras remotely.
At the same time, West Lancashire Council is upgrading three Metric Accents and still has two of the Accent predecessor machines, the Autoslot, operating after more than 15 years.
