Automated Valet completes annual PCI compliance revalidation

With companies as large as Sony, Citigroup and International Monetary Fund suffering serious attacks by computer hackers, it is easy to see that the world of technology is not exactly safe and secure. While the worst of these attacks are usually focused on organizations of wealth and power, smaller businesses like valet operations, are at risk as well. They may not have much to lose as a mega-power corporation, but the protection of company and customer information is an important undertaking.
AVPM, the only valet parking application of its kind. For more information visit www.automatedvalet.com or www.valetparkingapps.com

Automated Valet is well aware of the threat of data theft and credit card fraud and last year took all the steps needed to achieve PCI compliance. This year it has followed up with full participation in the revalidation process and has been successful in earning compliant status once again.
The PCI Security Standards Council promotes the secure management of data, payment information and PIN transactions. The councils founding members are American Express, Discover Financial Services, JCB International, MasterCard Worldwide, and Visa Inc. PCI compliance protects operators by ensuring the security of customers information to prevent fraud, theft, lawsuits and fines.

Automated Valets operating system, AVPM, and all of its applications and features is PCI compliant. Wherever it is installed it meets the requirements set by the PCI council for the safe storage and transfer of credit information.

Automated Valet Founder and CEO Ken Gulec says no valet operation can afford to be casual about its security. "PCI compliance means data is secure and customer information is safe," he says. "We will keep our compliant status at any cost. Other valet system providers cannot make the same statement."

Gulec says it is not enough just to promise clients a safe and modern system;
"This is the real thing. This is how you know the system you are buying will safeguard yours and your customers data," he says. "In this age of constantly-changing technology, no one should settle for less."
