AutomatedValet provides custom technology for two Emory hospitals

Atlanta, September 2008 AutomatedValet has won a second contract to provide valet technology for a hospital in the Emory Healthcare group and earned preferred vendor status from ICS Contract Services.
Emory.jpgAutomatedValet initially installed its valet system, AVPM, at Emory University Hospital 18 months ago. The three entrance/one garage setup operated so smoothly and efficiently that the hospital garages revenue increased more than 100 percent. The operation also benefited from AutomatedValets unbeatable technological support and zero downtime.
When Emory Healthcare officials decided to improve the valet service at Emory Crawford Long Hospital, they specified requirements and requested bids for better technology for tracking and parking cars. AVPM was the only bidder that could match the requirements including extreme revenue control and automation tools. The operating system was installed in August.
ICS Contract Services manages the site and has been so satisfied with AVPM that it plans to continue to use AVPM exclusively in future contracts.
The AVPM system has been extremely easy to set up and use. We started a new account last week and within one day all of our employees were able to use the system correctly, says Jeff Doss, General Manager of Valet Services for ICS. We have not had any down time and the system has worked perfectly. We had some site-specific issues that the AVPM team was able to address and to adapt the system to meet our needs.
Emory Crawford Long Hospital is a 511-bed community-based, acute care teaching facility that has been in providing medical care in Atlanta since 1908. According to its website it is staffed by 600 Emory medical faculty and 800 community physicians. And more than 23,205 inpatients and 143,961 outpatients come to the hospital each year.
Trade Show.pngNot only does AVPM meet the specific needs of valet parking in a hospital setting, it also provides 100 percent revenue control and prevents clerical and operating mistakes, fraudulent damage claims and interrupted service due to technical issues.
Every location is different, says Automated Valet CEO Ken Gulec. We dont just specialize in casinos, airports, hospitals, hotels: wherever there is a valet operation our automated valet system is needed, and we will customize it at no charge. We will make sure the revenue is collected properly and the valet operation works smoothly.
