Best practice rewarded in enforcement industry

Often remaining uncelebrated, the Civil Enforcement sector will be recognised at the 2009 Civil Enforcement Awards, for which entries are now sought.
The people who keep public life running smoothly range from technological innovators to service providers to trainers but all work tirelessly to ensure life runs that bit more smoothly for the rest of us.

Celebrating best practice across a number of industries in the enforcement sector, which include Councils, transport providers, environmental teams, parking services and other public services that operate within UK communities.

Held on Friday 23 October at the London Marriott Hotel, the awards will focus on professionalism and outstanding public service, with a wide variety of categories to honour the wealth of excellence within the industry. Award categories include: technology; innovation; training; initiative of the year; campaign of the year; service to the community; team of the year; individual of the year; environmental and the gold award.

Lord Lucas, Chair of the Judging Panel said: These awards recognise the dedication of the teams and individuals that sometimes blend into the background. In many cases, the better they are, the less we see of them nevertheless, their efforts affect members of the public every day. Entries from across the industry are welcome, and like last year, we hope to showcase the vast amount of excellent work going on in the UK enforcement sector.

Organisations are invited to sponsor any of the award categories. Those interested in sponsorship, should contact Emily McCunn, British Parking Association on 01444 447 317/ emily.m@britishparking.co.uk.

To enter the awards, visit www.civilenforcementawards.co.uk, which also provides award criteria and example case studies to help the entry process. Deadline for entries is 22 May 2009.

The organisers would like to gratefully acknowledge the headline sponsor, Philips Collection Services.
