New feature to provide campuses with Parking Management for Special Events.
BOSS SOFTWARE announced the development of Event Management, a new module for BOSSCARS aimed at providing campuses with parking management capabilities for Special Events.
The module is being developed for schools that have many events occurring on campus that effect the parking operation. It will organize information about the event such as start and end time, expected number of people, and where it is located. Like all BOSS SOFTWARE, several customizable reports will be available to help track event statistics and resources. Automatic allocation of resourcesincluding road cones, barricades, staff, shuttles, and custom resourcesis a key feature to Event Management developers.
'We are very excited about Event Management,' Nick Farnan, developer for BOSS SOFTWARE and the Event Management Module, said, 'This project started small and developed into something much larger. There are many features within the module and it will be nice to see a campus use it effectively. As a former student I know how hectic events can be on campus, so this type of software will help to organize the staff on campus more efficiently.'
In addition to Event Management, BOSSCARS also provides campus parking offices with citation and permit management software that directly integrates with Oracle-based systems such as SunGard Banner or PeopleSoft. Officers have easy access to accurate information on permits, citations, scofflaws, units on duty, appeals, and customers. BOSSCARS is highly customizable, and is available with handheld ticket writers, a web interface, payroll deduction, and much more.
