BOSS SOFTWARE Announces Release of BOSSCARS 6.2
Customer suggestions for the improvement of the BOSSCARS Campus Parking Software are implemented in BOSSCARS 6.2
BOSS SOFTWARE, the makers of the BOSSCARS and BOSSCOPS suite of campus safety software, today introduced BOSSCARS 6.2, a version developed to meet the ever-changing needs of campus parking offices. Developers worked to provide BOSSCARS clients with the most relevant, user-friendly campus parking software available.
The changes implemented in this version of BOSSCARS revolve around web customizability. Schools are now able to request more information at login to the BOSSCARS system, such as license plate or drivers license number. Furthermore, schools can utilize BOSSCARS Person Typing to determine who must provide such information. For example, it can now be required for students to provide their license plate number, but not necessary for faculty and staff. Additionally, the BOSSCARS system now offers deeper security to control waivers or appeals entered by parking office staff. The system now can restrict the ability to waive or appeal to only the administrator, if university business rules require it.
The release of BOSSCARS 7.0 is planned for May of 2010. Among the changes expected in this release is the ability to allow users who are not found in the student information system to request permits and pay for citations through the BOSSCARS Web Interface. Campus parking offices will be able to track and cite their off-campus customers in the system as usual, and the citations will post online and be manageable by the customer based on their license plate number.
BOSSCARS is a modular parking management system that directly integrates with Oracle-based systems such as SunGard Banner or PeopleSoft. Designed specifically for colleges and universities, it is the only system boasting direct, real-time integration with Campus/Student Information Systems. Officers have easy access to accurate information on permits, citations, scofflaws, units on duty, appeals, and customers.
BOSSCARS is highly customizable, and is available with handheld ticket writers, a web interface, payroll deduction, and much more.
