BPA Announce Formation of a Parking Society

One of the British Parking Association's (BPA's) long term aims is the formation of a Parking Society. The aim of the Society will be to cater for individual parking professionals, offering them services, opportunities for development and, for those who are qualified to a certain level or have worked in the profession for some time, the designatory letters, MPS.
BPA.jpgAs a forerunner to the Society, the BPA has launched a new category of membership for individuals, called Professional Associate. This new category is open to individual parking professionals, practitioners and students, as well as those who have an interest in parking and parking-related matters. Professional Associates will be given grandfather rights to joining the Parking Society once it has been formed.

The formation of a Parking Society is part of the BPA's long term vision to improve standards and professionalism in the industry, as well as to provide a home for the industry's many professionals.

Some of the aims of the Society will be to:

  • facilitate, develop and promote best practice in parking and parking-related areas

  • encourage education and training

  • support and encourage all members, and particularly younger members, to become involved in debate, discussion and research

  • disseminate information related to parking to members in order to keep them up-to-date with new developments and new thinking

  • raise standards in the industry

  • support the work of the BPA

To join as a Professional Associate and secure grandfather rights to the Parking Society, or to find out more about this category of membership, please call 01444 447300.
