BPA Launches Regional Group in Northern Ireland

The British Parking Association (BPA) launches its first Northern Ireland group today. The launch will take place at the Park Plaza Hotel, Belfast International Airport.
Presentations will be given from the Department for Regional Development about the forthcoming introduction of Decriminalised Parking Enforcement (DPE) in Northern Ireland (and how this will be rolled out across the province), and also from the Assistant Director of Customer Focus at the London Borough of Islington who will talk about the public and media issues surrounding the implementation of DPE.

BPA regional groups are designed to give professionals working within the parking industry a forum to network, discuss key issues at a local level, contribute local knowledge to BPA initiatives and policy work and raise the profile of parking issues at a regional level.

Tom Martin, a member of the BPA committee for Northern Ireland, comments:

"It is opportune that the first meeting of the Northern Ireland Region of the BPA coincides with what promises to be one of the most interesting times for the parking industry in the province. The presentations today will give an insight into DPE and I know that the experience and knowledge accessible within the BPA will contribute to future 'best practice' for the mutual benefit of our members."
