Budapest Airport introduces XXL parking

Budapest Airport has introduced yet another improvement for passengers arriving by car with due lead time before the start of the summer peak season. XXL parking is a brand new parking product designed to serve the needs of large families with children in minivans or the popular SUVs.

From now on wider parking spaces wait for those at the Terminal Parking before Terminal 2 of Budapest Airport who arrive with large minivans or SUVs. The airport has designated 95 spaces called XXL parking in the Terminal Parking area for the same price as usual vehicles. These new spaces respond to the needs of families travelling with more children, with more baggage in larger vehicles. Thus the unloading of passengers and suitcases will be much safer and much more comfortable during the summer travel season. In addition, the XXL parking spaces can also be booked on-line at www.bud.hu, thus offering further discounts to its users.

Budapest Airport has also responded to the needs of bus tour and river-boat operators by dedicating 11 new wide coach spaces for the safe unloading of passengers and their baggage closer to Terminal 2. The new bus parking spaces are designed to reduce the utilization of dedicated bus spaces at the curbside and to facilitate available parking spaces even at the highest peak of summer travel season.

„We are proud to introduce an XXL parking area and specialized BUS parking nearby the terminal buildings which raises the service level of our car parks.” said Manel Moreno head of commercial landside services of Budapest Airport. He added: „By introducing the new parking product we at the same wanted to increase the passenger comfort when they arrive at the airport.
