Cale Access establishes a subsidiary in Canada Offers Strong Base for Growth in North America

Cale Systems Inc. has acquired the existing business of Cale Parking Equipment Inc. and Parking Software Inc., and has taken over existing product rights, contracts, management and employees. The aim and the ambition is to continue the build-up of a strong player on the North American market for parking.

Cale Parking Equipment was a privately owned Montreal based company, distributing and servicing parking equipment all over Canada, either direct or indirect via its distributor Parksmart, belonging to Coinamatic Inc. (www.coinamatic.com).

"Being part of Cale Access and the Bewator Group will give us the opportunity to grow the Cale brand even stronger on the North-American market and to expand the business” says Pierre Barré, former president of Cale Parking Equipment and the new president of Cale Systems. Mr. Barré continues: “During our six years in business through Cale Parking Equipment we have created a strong base to build upon, which will be an essential asset for future expansion”.

Cale Access, founded in 1955 and specialized in products for parking, has become one of the leading suppliers of advanced and flexible pay & display machines in the world with subsidiaries in Norway, United Kingdom and Germany (partly).

Torkel Hardeman, President of Cale Access and Chairman of the Board of Cale Systems, agrees: “The incorporation of the experience and the ongoing business of Cale Parking Equipment and Parking Software into Cale Systems will assure a fast establishment in Canada. It also lies within our long term strategy of having subsidiaries established in key markets”.
