Cale Access signs contract with the Parking Division of the City of Gothenburg
During spring 2003, the city of Gothenburg, Sweden, invited tenders for the supply of new parking equipment. The winner of the tender was Cale Access AB, who has signed a contract over several of years with the Parking Division of City of Gothenburg.
The City of Gothenburg already has a large number of older Cale MP8008 installed, which now will be replaced with new Cale MP104 accepting credit card payment. At the same time, the area for paid parking is expanded, meaning that a larger number of terminals will be installed. The total number of terminals to be delivered is some 400 units, which means that Cale Access keeps and strengthen its strong position on the west coast of Sweden.
Cale Access credit card processing service is already used by the city of Gothenburg. As the old MP8008 machines are replaced, all of the new terminals will be equipped with GSM modems for the transfer of sales statistics, alarms, black lists for bad credit cards and the collection of credit card transactions. The date is then processed with Argus, a back-office software developed by Cale Access. The advantages with on-line terminals are a more efficient parking operation and a large cost saving.
