Careless owners cost lives

As the summer months hit, the RSCPA is urging car park operators to help them in their bid to prevent motorists from leaving pets locked in their cars.
Despite annual warnings, RSCPA inspectors are regularly called out to reports of animals locked in hot cars during hot weather. Having produced fliers, posters and P&D meter stickers, the Association is asking for operators to get in touch and request the free material which they can then distribute around their parking facilities. Car park staff are also being targeted in the hope that extra vigilance can alert the Association to any trouble as well as preventing motorists from leaving them in the first place. To get hold of the publicity materials contact the RSPCA at Wilberforce Way, Southwater, Horsham, RH13 9RS or fax your details and quantities required to 0870 7530 196 or e-mail nhilchey@rspca.org.uk
