Dayton, Ohio - Carl Walker, Inc., a nationally recognized consultant in the parking industry, announced the completion of Dayton International Airports new cast-in-place post-tensioned 1,400-car parking structure, which Carl Walker, Inc. designed. The parking structure was built in conjunction with several other improvements at the airport, including a new air-traffic control tower, updated long-term parking lot, and relocation of rental car facilities.
The new rental car facilities are located on Level One of the new parking structure. The garage features a covered walkway that is less than 300 feet from the doors of the ticket counters.
Functional design of the structure includes external express ramps for access to public parking, and new parking and revenue control equipment at the entry and exit plazas. Large bay sizes (60x60) were designed to coordinate with the needs of the rental car facilities.
