Carmanah Technologies Corporation Board of Directors Elected at Annual General Meeting

A motion was passed at the Meeting to fix the number of directors at five, or such other number as the board may from time to time determine. Management and the Board put forth four nominees as Directors for the coming year, intending to fill the remaining vacancy on the board in due course. The four nominees: Messrs. Rob Cruickshank, Rob Logan, Bob Wiens, and Ted Lattimore, all currently members of the board, will continue in their roles as Directors of Carmanah Technologies Corporation.

During the meeting, an additional nomination was made from the floor for the election of Mr. Peter Berrang to fill the final vacancy on the board. Mr. Berrang joins Carmanahs Board of Directors as its newest member. Mr. Berrang is an entrepreneur from Victoria, BC, involved in the startup and management of local high-tech companies for the past 30 years, including the Axys Group of Companies, Seastar Optics Inc. (later acquired by SDL Inc., and then again by JDS Uniphase) and Epic Biosonics Inc.  Currently, Mr. Berrang is involved in a variety of venture capital investments and sits on a number of boards.
