Casio, Inc. and T2 Systems Partner to Provide Fast and Accurate Event Parking Management

T2 PermitNow software, designed for issuing and taking payment for parking permits in locations without revenue control equipment, now runs on the Casio IT-3000, a rugged handheld computer with an integrated high-speed thermal printer and magnetic stripe reader.


"Running PermitNow on our IT-3000 is a natural fit. Speed is very important in this application and the IT-3000 high-speed integrated printer is capable of up to 28 lines per second. The integrated magnetic stripe and barcode readers allow the attendant to accept credit or debit cards along with cash, checks or pre-printed parking permits with a barcode. We're looking forward to working with T2 Systems to make event parking faster and easier," said George Baraona, director of sales at Casio.

"Many of them manage event parking in areas with no revenue control equipment, and are looking for technology tools to improve customer service, expand payment methods and provide faster and more accurate reconciliation and reporting."

PermitNow makes accepting payments in the field easy and trackable. Fast transaction time improves overall traffic flow during congested event parking. The tracking function assists facility management with staff accountability without sacrificing parker convenience.

Additionally, the Casio IT-3000 can handle the physical challenges of outdoor use. Its sturdy construction allows it to withstand four-foot drops to concrete. The large keypad also has a backlight for better visibility in the dark.
