Central Parking System Awarded Cowboys Stadium Contract
Central Parking System, Inc., the nations largest parking management company, has been selected by the Dallas Cowboys to manage all parking functions at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas, home to the Dallas Cowboys professional football team.
Eight regular season games are played at the facility, as well as two preseason games. Additionally, the stadium is used for other major events, such as music concerts, soccer matches and college football games.
Central Parking assumed management of the parking program with the Grand Opening of the Stadium on June 6, 2009. Parking controlled by the Cowboys includes fourteen parking lots surrounding the stadium that provide parking for more than 11,500 vehicles. With the addition of this contract, Central Parking now works directly with 28 teams in the four major sports leagues, including management of parking at NFL stadiums in Baltimore, Charlotte, Cincinnati, Miami, Nashville, New York, Philadelphia, and Washington, DC.
We looked at leading national parking management companies and determined that Central Parking's capabilities and track record made them the best partner to outsource this primary service which is a key part of the overall stadium experience, said Jud Heflin, the Cowboys Director of Stadium Development, responsible for stadium operations. Central Parking's extensive experience with numerous large sports venues was a key factor in our decision.
The award of the Cowboys Stadium contract further solidifies our position as the leading parking operator for major league franchises, said James H. Bond, Executive Vice President of Central Parking System. We are extremely pleased that the Cowboys organization has demonstrated this level of confidence in our ability to manage this very complex parking infrastructure.
