Cobalt Shortlisted for Prestigious Award
Now in their seventh year, the annual British Parking Awards are the parking industry's highest accolade to individuals and teams that have excelled in the provision of service to the industry.
There are 12 categories of award, several of which focus exclusively upon the work of the public sector. However, private sector companies can compete in awards such as Back Office Team of the Year, for which Cobalt Telephone Technologies' Operations Team has now been shortlisted.
This is the third year running that Cobalt Telephone Technologies has reached this stage. Last year, Cobalt won the coveted Marketing Award - being recognized for its excellence in communicating the RingGo phone parking service. In 2007, RingGo again reached the final, this time in the extremely competitive Innovation category - and received a Commendation from the judges for the service.
The Back Office Team of the Year is judged by senior industry experts who, for this award, are seeking a team that provides outstanding customer service, delivering a vision of the future for their organization, and the wider parking sector. Teams score highly with evidence that they consistently apply good practice, are excellent representatives of the parking industry and over-deliver on expectations, in order to provide outstanding service.
Joanna Miller, Technical Director for Cobalt and Manager of the Operations' Team said: "I am delighted that our Operations' Team has been shortlisted for this award. The team is unique in the way it operates and has an over-riding ethos of providing excellent customer service. It is great that this has so obviously been recognized by the judges."
"Coming on the back of our successes in Marketing and Innovation, in 2007 and 2008, this truly demonstrates the strength and breadth of Cobalt's offering. Without our people and the dedication they provide, our company could not provide the great service it does. I am indebted to them and so am particularly pleased that their hard work is being recognized in this way."
The awards lunch, hosted this year by John Sergeant, takes place in the Dorchester Hotel in London, on Friday 6th March 2009.
