Control Module Industries llc new approach to electric vehicle supply equipment

Control Module Industries, EVSE Division, installed the first ever Overhead Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment at Northeast Utilities Headquarters, in Hartford, Connecticut.
The new overhead unit, developed and manufactured by Control Module, Inc. for the EVSE Division, is equipped with the patent pending retractable cable system. The overhead design allows the EVSE to be installed in existing parking garages at any parking space without alterations to the garage layout. It also eliminates the need for protective barriers. The cable, which is stored in the overhead unit, is automatically recoiled after use, thus preventing tripping or damage from lying on the ground as in currently offered EVSE.

The overhead EVSE meets the new SAE J1772 standards and is offered in Level 1-15 (120V/15A), Level 2-32 (220V/32A) and Level 2-74A (220V/74A) versions.

The overhead EVSE is modular in design and can be configured to communicate with most payment systems, Smart grid, grid point, and expanded as new networks are developed. Electric vehicles are setting a new standard in transportation; the overhead EVSE by Control Module Industries is setting a new standard in EVSE's.
