COUNCIL CREATES MORE SAFE PARKING FOR MOTOR BIKES
A local authority is improving parking for motor cycles and at the same time giving bikers greater security.
Crewe and Nantwich Borough Council is creating more secure parking for motor bikes in most of their car parks, utilising space to balance the changing requirements of the motorist.
Margaret Howle, the Councils Enforcement Manager for car parks, said the authority was constantly reviewing parking and one of the latest changes was to establish motor cycle bays with a secure area in car parks.
We are keeping up with changing times and moving towards more people using motor bikes, she explained. In Crewe and Nantwich we are accommodating that change.
The Council has made a significant investment having placed a large order for Motoloc Stainless steel CP20 post mounted security units. A total of 17 double and 10 single units has been purchased.
The five figure order, won by Metric Parking as sales agents for Motoloc, will result in the units being installed at the end of November.
