Cubic Transportation Systems Announces New Chief Operating Officer

SAN DIEGO, Calif. – Cubic Transportation Systems, Inc., a subsidiary of San Diego-based Cubic Corporation (AMEX:CUB), announced that Dave Lapczynski has been named Chief Operating Officer, overseeing all program management, engineering, and manufacturing functions for the Company.
cubic_corp.jpgLapczynski, a Cubic executive for more than 20 years, most recently served as senior vice president of manufacturing and held prior responsibilities in operations and engineering management and quality control and service management.

A native of Detroit, Mich., Lapczynski previously held technical positions for other engineering companies, including Precision International in Tullahoma, Tenn., which Cubic acquired in 1983 and since converted to its primary manufacturing facilities.
