Dan Cowens Promoted to Vice President of Operations
Today, Towne Park officially announced the promotion of Dan Cowens to Vice President of Operations overseeing operations in the mid-Atlantic region stretching from Boston to Roanoke. He will be responsible for nearly 1,000 associates and over 100 clients including hotels, hospitals, luxury residences, garages, and restaurants.
Dan Cowens, an 18-year Towne Park veteran, has witnessed Towne Park grow from a local entrepreneurial valet parking company to a national hospitality services superstar. He started his career as a valet parker in October 1992 and by 1996 was a District Manager. Hes won the coveted Team of the Year award twice, helped to develop and promote seven district managers, and nearly doubled the number of accounts in Washington DC over the last three years. Mr. Cowens joins an already impressive executive team and based on his track record, he will make an immediate impact.
This was an historic event for Towne Park. Towne Park only posted the opportunity internally desiring to find their next operations executive from within their ranks. Although most of Towne Parks executives have been cultivated and promoted from within, Towne Park held its first ever internal executive panel interview for its Vice President of Operations search.
It was a phenomenal experience for our team and truly showcased the level of talent we have organizationally. I personally came into the process thinking I had just one decision to make, who would be the next Vice President of the Mid-Atlantic. I quickly realized, as I became increasingly impressed at the cadre of talent that was parading before us, that we in fact had a handful of decisions to make.
