DESIGNA in the “Car Park of the Senses”

A DB BahnPark GmbH project in Hamburg

DESIGNA designed car park, Hamburg

Art, nice sounds and pleasant smells. All expressions that you seldom associate with a multi-storey car park. And yet – with the “Car Park of the Senses” at the Hbf Centrum am Hühnerposten, DB BahnPark GmbH wants to fill the cold concrete with warmth and life and appeal to all of the senses. DESIGNA is present with a modern car park management system (automatic pay stations, entrances and exits).
DESIGNA design at Hamburg car park

The car drivers are received at the entrance with several chandeliers and a painting of the historic Hamburg main station. A fresh, natural fragrance blows through the four parking levels, specially developed with hints of black pepper, rosemary, lemon grass and cedarwood. For the ears there are tones, accordion music and noises which reflect the Hamburg location in terms of sound.

On the way to the car in the stairwell, the visitors experience other cultural features. Poems and art prints of Hamburg locations and history, and coloured stucco ornaments invite you spend time/stop, reflect and perhaps also smile.
