Integrated DESIGNA Solution at Dublin Airport, Ireland
DESIGNA is proud to have been chosen as the supplier of the Car Park Management Solution (CPMS) for the Dublin Airport Authority (DAA) to be installed at Dublin Airport Ireland before the end of 2006.
The new CPMS will replace the existing system and consists of the DESIGNA state-of-the-art PM ABACUS Parking Management System and will be complemented by integrated Automatic Number Plate Recognition, Web-Based Pre-Book, CCTV, VMS occupancy information and Taxi Management systems. DESIGNA and its partners will supply, install and support the CPMS.
"We were looking for a cost effective, configurable, resilient and scaleable Car Park Management Solution for our Public Car Parks, Coach Park and Taxi Rank. DESIGNA were the successful contenders in a very rigorous public tender process. commented John Brennan, Car Parks Manager at the DAA.
Dublin Airport offers 24 hours, 7 days a week public parking with its almost 18,000 spaces and caters to close to 3 million paying parkers per year. DAA were looking for a single source CPMS solution that would suit their mixed short-term (car, shuttle bus and coach), long-term parking locations, taxi management needs. The CPMS is designed to provide a very high level of customer service: parkers will for example have the ability to pre-book parking spaces on-line and once pre-booked they will be able to enter and leave the appropriate car park without the need for a ticket.
