Digital Payment Technologies and Streetline Form Partnership
Advanced parking pay stations and next generation occupancy sensors increase consumer satisfaction and parking operator efficiency
Digital Payment Technologies and Streetline, Inc. announced a new technology partnership that will enable data integration between the two companies' parking solutions. Now, municipalities, universities and private operators using pay stations from DPT and guided parking solutions from Streetline can help consumers find parking spaces faster, reduce traffic congestion in urban areas and maximize the efficiency of enforcement operations.
Parking operators can significantly enhance consumer satisfaction by offering them access to high-quality, real-time parking information. Using the Parker smartphone application from Streetline, drivers can quickly locate unoccupied parking spaces. Once parked, consumers conduct their payment transaction at a DPT pay station through a variety of convenient payment options including coins, bills, credit cards, and pay-by-phone. Also, a color graphical display provides clear payment instructions in addition to helpful information about local events and businesses. Consumers can also extend a parking transaction at any pay station or by phone. This scenario presents a start-to-finish experience that takes the frustration out of parking for consumers, and lets them get to their destination more efficiently.
In addition to increasing consumer satisfaction, parking operators who implement combined solutions from DPT and Streetline can increase operational performance through a unified view of space occupancy and payment status. Real-time sensor data from Streetline and payment information from DPT enables more efficient and effective parking space management including smarter enforcement. DPT and Streetline will also offer software that provides greater insights into occupancy trends and real-time status of parking availability. This enables parking operators to increase revenues and optimize turnover by implementing dynamic pricing based on demand or time-of-day.
"Our new partnership with Streetline is a great example of how our pay stations and back-end systems interoperate with a rich ecosystem of technology partners in order to deliver a complete and seamlessly integrated parking solution," said Andrew Scott, chief executive officer of DPT. "In addition to the software integration, our pay stations are highly customizable and field upgradeable, making them ideal long-term investments for our clients."
Added Zia Yusuf, chief executive officer of Streetline, "The combination of DPT's convenient payment options and Streetline's sensor-enabled smart parking management system allows consumers to find available parking, using our industry leading Parker smartphone app, while parking providers can leverage next generation technology to more effectively manage their parking assets. We are looking forward to providing leading edge innovation through this partnership to our joint customers."
