Digital Payment Technologies Named B.C.s Emerging Technology Company of the Year

Digital Payment Technologies Corp., a leading supplier of revenue management solutions for the global parking industry, is pleased to announce that the company has been named Emerging Company of the Year by the British Columbia Technology Industry Association in its 2007 Technology Impact Awards.
The Emerging Company of the Year award acknowledges an emerging company (over three years old with more than 30 employees and at least $3M in revenues) that demonstrates outstanding performance as a technology enterprise. This company is one that has expanding revenues, is on track according to its business plan and has the potential of becoming a leader in its market.

We are thrilled to accept this award on behalf of our management team, employees, suppliers, investors, and most particularly, our customers, said Andrew Scott, Chief Executive Officer of Digital Payment. Last year was a breakout year for our company, and without the dedicated teamwork of all of these people we would not be here today.

Digital Payment Technologies is a great example of our industrys ability to produce innovative technology and bring it to markets across the globe. They also illustrate how technology has become so important to our traditional industries, increasing their efficiencies and global competitiveness, and how the everyday lives of British Columbians are enhanced, said Rob Cruickshank, President of the BCTIA.

This marks the fourteenth year for the Technology Impact Awards, recognizing and celebrating exceptional leadership, innovation, and excellence within BC's diverse technology industry. More than 750 representatives of BC's technology and business community came together to recognize the province's top technologies, companies, and individuals. The Technology Impact Awards attract province-wide attention, with submissions received from across British Columbia, including Kelowna, Victoria and Vancouver.
