Duncan Solutions to Install 800 Single-Space Credit Card Meters and Vehicle Sensors in City of Spokane

Duncan Solutions, Inc., a global leader in on-street parking management and enforcement technology solutions, announced the planned deployment of 800 Liberty Meters and Wireless Vehicle Sensors in the City of Spokane, Washington. The upgraded parking technology will provide motorists the ability to pay with coin, credit cards, pay-by-phone and view real-time data to readily find available parking.

City of Spokane upgrades city’s parking program

To help improve the convenience of downtown parking and enhance customer service, the City of Spokane will begin implementing 800 new single-space parking meters and wireless vehicle sensors. Occurring in two phases, the installation of 200 credit card meters will begin on selected downtown streets and another 600 meters will be implemented by mid-September throughout the rest of Spokane’s downtown business district.

The state-of-the-art meters will increase public satisfaction with multiple payment methods available. The new singlespace meters will accept Visa, MasterCard, coin, and pay-by-cell payments. To further improve the City of Spokane’s parking program, the city is also installing Duncan’s Vehicle Detection Sensors. The vehicle sensors will track vehicle occupancy and provide real-time data that is highly accurate and help motorists find available parking using a user-friendly web-based application and allow the City to collect information on traffic volume and help enforce vehicle violations.
