Envision Solar Announces Groundbreaking on Major Utility Deployment
Envision Solar International, Inc., a leading sustainable infrastructure product designer and developer, announced that it has broken ground on a Solar Grove deployment for a major California utility. The deployment consists of a grove of Envision's Solar Tree structures in a showcase and high visibility innovative facility which will be open to the public.
The Solar Grove deployment includes Solar Tree structures which incorporate Envision's CleanCharge CI, "column-integrated" electric vehicle charging stations as well as energy storage elements. The installation is scheduled for completion by the end of 2011. The Solar Tree structures also incorporate Envision's EnvisionTrak multi-axis solar tracking technology which should increase the efficiency of the entire installation by as much as 25%. Envision Solar has recently released its new proprietary and patent pending EnvisionTrak technology and has installations performing flawlessly in multiple markets across the USA today.
