Fast Park in Merida

The Go Live of the latest Spanish Fast Park installation in Spain was launched 23 April in Mérida.
he parking is located within the premises of the Polytechnic belonging to the municipality of the city. The project allowed to double the existing car park surface by means of a modular deck system. Total capacity of the new parking is 355 car places.

Mérida is the capital of the autonomous community of Extremadura and preserves more important ancient Roman monuments than any other city in Spain, it has been defined "the Spanish Roma" and because of this, the "Archaeological Ensemble of Mérida" is a World Heritage site. One of the main reasons in favor of choosing Fast Park was the compatibility of its foundations system with the presence underground of an archeological site that might be brought to light in the future once the car park is removed and installed.

Actually, the possibility to dismantle the freestanding deck and the fact that foundations are friendly choice. Authorization for the implementation and operation has been granted by Ayuntamiento de Mérida to the Car Parking Management Company Cintra Aparcamientos.

A modular roofing system to the top floor has been pre-engineered and installed to be clad with photovoltaic panels.

About the Fast Park System

Fast Park is the original and innovative, patented, system designed to virtually double the capacity of an existing or new surface area, by use of a free-standing deck installed in the minimum of time with the least disruption.

Pre-fabricated elements are installed on the surface without any traditionally excavated foundations.

The finished structure can be demounted and 100% re-assembled on another site in many different configurations. The system is designed and manufactured to ensure the complete "lock-down" integrity of the system.

In many cases installation can be phased to retain spaces for an ongoing parking operation and its revenue stream. Fast Park is the ideal solution to increase capacity, between surface and multi-storey car parks.
