Finnpark’s Find Your Car awarded as the best guidance service in Europe

International trade fair for visual communication, technology and design – recognised the most efficient, creative and innovative projects with the Digital Signage Best Practice Award. Each prominent new product was evaluated for its appeal as a complete package. According to Viscom’s international jury of multi-disciplinary experts, Finnpark’s Find Your Car service provides a well-designed and practical solution to a common problem: how to find one’s vehicle in a large carpark.

The atmosphere in the event was great. Our solution received good reviews from the jury. This award was a great appreciation to the customer service development carried out by Finnpark over the years, says Finnpark’s COO Tami Koivuniemi who received the award with his colleague Ali Lattunen.

Where did I park my car? How do I find my way to the theatre?

The awarded installation of Find Your Car service is located in P-Hämppi carpark in the city centre of Tampere, Finland. The service is available for use on large touch screens in several customer service points in the carpark. The desired vehicle is denoted by just swiping the parking ticket in the card reader. The service leans on real-time information on vehicle identities and locations inside the carpark. The shortest route to the vehicle is drawn on the screen map. In addition to parked vehicles, the system can be used for finding surrounding city services like shops, restaurants, public transport, etc. Finnpark developed the service in co-operation with Palko Interactive Oy.

Find Your Car is a good example of solutions developed by Finnpark to facilitate the customer experience in parking. For Finnpark, parking is an integrated link in the chain of city services.
