G4S enters the car parking arena

In a landmark move, the 5.9BN organisation will launch its car park management service in Denmark.
G4S has signed an exclusive, strategic partnership with global car parking solutions provider Zeag. Under the terms of the agreement, Zeag will provide all the parking equipment, management software and related peripherals, in addition to after sales service and support, to all sites operated by G4S.
G4S plans to roll the service out across Scandinavia, Europe and ultimately world wide.
Zeag was chosen for this partnership because they are a familiar brand to G4S, both organizations working in close proximity on many contracts around the world. Frank Nielsen, key account manager at G4S said: Zeags equipment is installed across Copenhagen airport it is their largest installation in Scandinavia, so we know and respect Zeags products and there is a lot of synergy between the services we offer.
G4S see this as a logical next step for their business, working as they do on contracts world wide often providing guardian services but unable until now to offer the technical capability that allows them to offer a full car park operational service. Now, for the first time there will be a car park operator that can provide a full,  turn key service encompassing everything from management and security operations to installation, operation and maintenance of hardware and systems. Said  Nielsen Clients will be able to deal with just one provider from whom they can access all the elements of car park services they need all under one roof.
G4S will offer its parking service to existing and new clients including those in the construction industry, municipalities, shopping malls and airports.

Zeag chief marketing officer, David Jones, said: Its a natural development for G4S, they are a well established security firm with a world wide network. In Denmark alone, they have 2000 employees 500 of whom are technical so they definitely have the manpower and skills to provide this service.
