The H2H2H Foundation is pleased to announce the appointment of parking industry veteran Gary Neff, CEO of New York City-based Park Assist, to its Board of Governors. The Governors guide the Foundation in its overall direction, vision and mission.
The H2H2H Foundation is an international, nonprofit organization promoting excellence in the delivery of efficient and sustainable “Mobility Management” (MM) services. MM is an innovative, worldwide trend in the public parking and transportation sector. It promotes communication and collaboration between managers of different elements of the transportation infrastructure within a particular community. These elements might include, for example, parking facilities, public transit networks, tollways, car ferries, car/bike sharing and Intelligent Transportation Systems.
Park Assist, a subsidiary of the Netherlands-based THK Group, is a premium provider of Parking Guidance Systems (PGS) and business intelligence solutions. Park Assist pioneered the first camera-based system for parking guidance. Over the past decade, the firm has become an industry leader in PGS with successful installations spanning 35 countries. Park Assist's unique, patented approach combines proprietary imaging software and advanced data analytics to produce actionable parking management information affecting occupancy, security and revenues.
“We are honored to engage a true industry leader in Gary Neff and the support of a pace-setting organization, such as Park Assist,” says Ramon Mota-Velasco P., Chairman of the Board of Governors for H2H2H. “The Foundation welcomes Gary's sage advice as we continue to advance best practices in parking and transportation. By teaming with an innovator like Park Assist, we are another step closer to fulfilling our vision that everyone, especially those in the developing world, should experience high-quality, sustainable choices in personal transportation.”
Park Assist (www.parkassist.com) was a founding member of the Green Parking Council (now ParkSmart). “Park Assist has long been at the forefront of advocating for sustainable transportation worldwide,” Neff said. “We are pleased to partner with H2H2H in its mission of 'mobility sustainability'. Our technology, coupled with our emphasis on business intelligence, not only directs parking patrons to the nearest available parking space, but offers parking facility owners and managers real-time, mission-critical data. There are immediate benefits, such as reduced congestion, heightened security, less cruising for an open space and market-appropriate pricing.”
Via its website (www.H2H2H.org), social media, forthcoming publications and future conferences in Latin American cities, H2H2H aims to spotlight the very best operations and solutions in the management of parking facilities, transportation demand mitigation, intermodal linkages and automated traffic enforcement.
“We are truly thankful when quality organizations like Park Assist take notice of what we are doing and want to accompany us on our journey toward excellence in Mobility Management,” Mota-Velasco said.
