Hard Rock adding 3,000 parking spots
As the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casinos popularity grows as the go-to place for gambling, dining, shopping, and entertainment, so do its long parking lines. Just in time for the holidays, guests will receive the gift of more parking with the completion of a new parking garage slated for December.
On Friday, the Hollywood complex celebrated the topping off of the 1 million-square-foot Winners Way parking garage, which will provide 3,000 additional spaces. Of those, 2,400 spaces will be covered.
The nine-story garage, designed by Las Vegas-based Klai Juna Architects, will include 15 elevators, six escalators, a Seminole Paradise pedestrian bridge, and pedestrian bridges on the first and second level with direct casino access.
And, while they may have paved paradise to put up another parking lot, the trees did get a new home. Fifty-five Royal Palm trees were relocated throughout the property. For good luck and as a symbol of growth, an Evergreen was placed atop the 17,000-pound concrete slab roof of the garage.
The hotel and casino has more than 7,000 parking spaces throughout its property, including its Seminole Way and Lucky Street garages, valet services and self-parking areas.
Parking lot aside, there is a casino with 2,500 Las Vegas-style slots and a host of other gaming activities, 500 hotel rooms, 18 restaurants and lounges, 40,000 square feet of meeting space, a European-style spa, 25 shops, 12 nightclubs, the 700-seat Paradise Live and Hard Rock Live, a 5,500-seat concert arena.
