Impark awarded Municipal Operations in Kelowna, BC

Councilors and Mayor with the City of Kelowna Yesterday voted unanimously to award management of the citys on-street and off-street parking assets to Impark. The contract will see Imparks BC Interior office handle revenues in excess of $1.7 million a year, on a five year contract with opportunities for extensions.
Scope of work will include management of two parking garages, 17 surface lots, and over 1,110 on-street parking stalls, for a combined total of approximately 3,000 pay parking stalls. The facilities will be operated with a mix of attendants, solar-powered electronic pay-stations, and individual on-street meters. Impark will bring several innovations to the contract, including its pay-by-cell phone service and Parker Pete vehicle assistance service. As Brent Lobson, Regional Manager for Imparks British Columbia Interior Region described it, This contract calls for a high standard of professionalism and staff personal appearance, with an emphasis on friendly and fair service to the community".

Impark has been a presence in the City since 1997, with a variety of private management contracts ranging from surface lots to the Prospera Centre, a major sports and entertainment complex.
